The new County Library, at Barry in the vale of Glamorgan, will open in the first week of January 2007. This is the record of activity by library staff between handover of the building and the opening.

Computer users
61 library members logged on to internet in the first few hours of opening. The library now has a wireless network and we know of at least one customers who brought his laptop to try this out.
I think that the wireless hotspot is a brilliant idea especially for kids like me who own a wireless enabled PSP.Thanks!!I also love the FUNKY design of the library!

Thanks for your comment. We didn't have PSP in mind when we set up the wireless network but we are pleased that you find it useful.
